This month, we are excited to once again partner with Zora’s House – the first and only community space and leadership incubator in the region created by and for women+ of color – works to dismantle barriers of systemic racism and sexism, and to ensure the full participation of women+ of color in the civic, economic, and cultural life of Central Ohio. Building on this foundation, Zora’s House is looking to meet the ever-increasing needs of our community and address the racial and gender inequities that hold women+ of color back from their full potential. With this in mind, Zora’s House is making the following significant investments in their organizational capacity:
The build out of a 10,000 square foot, $5.3 million community hub that will serve as a center for leadership, innovation, and an economic empowerment engine for Black, Latina, AAPI, Indigenous, and other women+ and gender expansive people of color across Franklin County.
$1 million in critical capacity building funds to expand staffing, increase the reach of our high-impact programs and services, and ensure future financial sustainability for Zora’s House.

How You Can Support Zora’s House This Month? First off, visit the Land-Grant Taproom and round up on your bill and that money will go directly to Zora’s House. Then, do not miss their 2023 Women of Color Owned Holiday Market on 12/3 at The Kee! They’ll be shining the spotlight on some of the dopest women of color artisans in Columbus! Hosted by Zora’s House and sponsored by JP Morgan Chase, the annual Women Of Color Owned (WoCO) Holiday Market will feature products created by women of color artists and entrepreneurs. From jewelry to candles to clothing and everything in between!
The WoCO Holiday Market will take place on Sunday, December 3rd from 11 am – 5 pm at The Kee Columbus. In addition to shopping, there will be holiday themed decor, live DJs, food and tasty treats on hand to handle whatever appetite you work up while spending those holiday coins!
And of course any holiday event would not be complete without a beer or two. Available exclusively at the WoCO Holiday Market is our special edition Japanese Lager, Audacity, featuring artwork by Bonnie Zhao inspired by the Zora’s House mission.
