Wild Basil
Wild basil is actually a member of the mint family. Like many mints, wild basil has medicinal properties. Most notably, a wild basil infusion can help with poor digestion. Unlike the commercial basil you see at the grocery store, wild basil has small but delightful purple flowers. The flowers can also be used to create natural dyes which are typically yellow or brown in color.
Catch our wild basil blooming throughout the summer into early fall. Plant your wild basil in the spring when the soil is warm and make sure it gets plenty of sunshine.
